SYSTEMS ENGINEER
Responsibilities:
- Maintain and administer computer networks and related computing environments, including computer hardware, systems software, applications software, and all configurations. (Win-Mac-Linux / Citrix/VMware)
- Introducing and integrating new technologies into existing data center environments.
- Diagnose hardware and software problems, and replace defective components.
- Performances and analyzing the issues and immediately to solve the issues without downtime
- Perform data backups and disaster recovery operations.
- Ensuring that the network infrastructure is up and running.
- Apply operating system updates, patches, and configuration changes.
- Managing, adding, removing, or updating user account information, resetting passwords, etc.
- Coordinate computer network access and use.
- Plan, coordinate, and implement network security measures in order to protect data, software, and hardware.
- Perform routine network startup and shutdown procedures, and maintain control records.
- Design, configure, and test computer hardware, networking software and operating system software.
- Tuning up system performance.
- Recommend changes to improve systems and network configurations, and determine hardware or software requirements related to such changes.
- Confer with network users about how to solve existing system problems
- Mail server configuration and troubleshooting
- Installing and configuring DNS, DHCP, and LDAP servers.
Requirements:
- 2 - 5 years of system administration experience.
- Experience with large-scale pipelines for visual effects or animation required.
- Able to communicate in a professional and friendly manner with co-workers.
- Self-starter, energetic, strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize workload.
- Fluent in both written and spoken English
- Willing to relocate to Ordino, Andorra
- Knowledge of Citrix and VMware virtualization systems
- Knowledge of Linux Server configuration and setup
- Database configurations and installation
- Knowledge of PHP and MySQL is a must
- Used to work under mixed estructures (Windows, Linux, Mac)
